‘#LG5’: Lady Gaga teases fifth album
By Will Stroude
Having spent the best part of 2015 roaming around a ghostly guest house with her fellow American Horror Story: Hotel cast members, it seems Lady Gaga is finally getting back to her bread and butter in the recording studio.
The Applause singer, who is apparently working on some “great” new material with former Fame-era collaborator RedOne, began posting potential album teasers from the studio last night (September 23), leaving us hoping that album number five is only just around the corner.
“We wear our sunglasses at night,” Lady Gaga wrote alongside a picture of herself and RedOne together at the production desk, while ushering in the new era with the hashtag #LG5.

The 29-year-old proceeded to post a video of an electric guitar and some sound waves, teasing the possibility of a radical departure for the new LP’s sound.

So what will LG5 have in store for us? After the mixed response to 2013’s underrated Artpop and the unusual career experiment that was last year’s Tony Bennett jazz duets album Cheek to Cheek, it’s safe to say that the stakes are high for Ms. Germanotta this time round.
Meanwhile, the Bad Romance singer has just released a graphic and emotive video for her standalone track Til It Happens To You, which was used in a US documentary about sexual violence across university campuses earlier this year – click here to watch the video.
Gaga will be appearing onscreen weekly from October 7, when American Horror Story: Hotel kicks off on Fox in the US.
