Lil Nas X lands six Grammy Award nominations including Best New Artist
The rapper came out as gay back in June and has seen continued success

Lil Nas X has been nominated for six Grammy awards, including Best New Artist.
The rapper has been making considerable waves in the music industry nabbing himself the Song of the Year VMA and became the first openly gay artist to win a Country Music Award.
And now, Lil Nas X will be up against some tough competition after landing six Grammy awards.
On Wednesday, it was announced the ‘Old Town Road’ rapper – who came out at the end of June – had been nominated for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Nas faces against the likes of Lizzo – who is leading the awards with eight noms – and Billie Eilish who ties with Nas.
Writing on Twitter, Nas wrote: “NO FUCKING WAY”
