Lisa Kudrow’s The Comeback will return to screens later this year.
HBO have commissioned a new six-episode series of the comedy, which ran for just 13 episodes back in 2005.
Sex and the City‘s Michael Patrick King, Kudrow and her longtime producing partner Dan Bucatinsky will serve as executive producers.
Meanwhile, Bucatinsky, Lance Barber, Robert Michael Morris, Laura Silverman and Damian Young will star alongside Kudrow.
Kudrow appeared in the first season of The Comeback as faded star Valerie Cherish, who gets a reality show documenting her attempt at a career comeback.
“The Comeback holds a special place in the hearts of its many fans, including many of us here at HBO,” said HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo in the announcement. “I can’t wait to find out what Valerie’s been up to since we last met.”
Production on the new episodes will begin in Los Angeles this month, and the series will return to HBO in the autumn. Details of a UK transmission have yet to be announced.
