Listen: Little Mix mash-up Jason Derulo & Whitney Houston
By Will Stroude
Little Mix have continued to demonstrate that when it comes to vocals, they’re on a completely different planet to most other girl groups.
Jesy, Perrie, Jade & Leigh-Anne stopped by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge earlier today (July 27), where they delivered a flawless cover of Jason Derulo’s Want You To Want Me, and mashed it up with Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody for good measure.
Complete with organ, gospel choir and razor-sharp harmonies, this is as good as we’ve ever heard someone in the Live Lounge to be quite honest (though naturally Kelly Clarkson’s recent take on Rihanna’s Bitch Better Have My Money comes a very close second).
If you’re still the girls’ incredible G-A-Y performance form earlier this month, complete with full step-by-step Sissy That Walk re-enactment, watch it here immediately.
We caught up with the Little Mix girls – who scored a second week at Number One single with new single Black Magic last Friday (July 24) – in our June issue, where Perrie revealed she used to get into scraps defending her gay friends on nights out – click here to find out more.
