Cheryl has unveiled her new single I Don’t Care.

The track – which serves as the follow-up to the singer’s recent Number One smash Crazy Stupid Love – received its first radio play this morning (October 1) and will be released on November 9.

Lyrics for song, a fierce post-break-up anthem with an 80s-influenced sound, include: “I don’t care and it feels so f**king good to say I swear, that I don’t care.”

I Don’t Care was co-written by Cheryl, Swedish songwriter/producer Joakim Ahlund, John Newman and Katy Perry/Britney collaborator Bonnie McKee.

It will feature on Cheryl’s forthcoming fourth solo album Only Human, which follows her previous albums 3 Words, Messy Little Raindrops and A Million Lights, which spawned a run of hit singles including Fight for This Love, Promise This and Call My Name.

If I Don’t Care makes the top spot on the UK’s Official Singles Chart, Cheryl will become the first British female solo artist to notch up five Number Ones. At present, Cheryl, Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora have four apiece.
