Listen to Kitty Brucknell’s Swiss ‘Eurovision’ entry

Kitty Brucknell has put herself forward to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

The former X Factor contestant has submitted a song titled Yearning to the Swiss panel, which she hopes will be chosen for next year’s competition.

The Swiss search begins with an online vote, and undergoes several stages before an the final entrant is named in early 2015.

Writing on Twitter, Brucknell said: “Haha that all took you by surprise didn’t it! #kittyeurovision I love this song and it’s a great opportunity so cross fingers & see!”

Brucknell is set to release debut album Glamour and Damage at the end of October, having launched a Pledge Music campaign to fund the LP’s completion.

The album will include Yearning as well as first single Glitter in the Sky.
