She’s been tough as nails during a recent slew of US promotional appearance in the wake of her break-up with her fiancé of two years, Zayn Malik, but it seems it finally got too much for Perrie Edwards during an emotional Little Mix performance yesterday (August 19).
During a live stream to celebrate their fourth anniversary as a group, the girls were forced to put an a capella rendition new track The End on hold after Edwards broke down on stage.
Cameras captured the emotional moment the 22-year-old choked up as she sang the line, “No one can love you / the way I used to do / but love isn’t fair”, just days after splitting with the former One Direction star.
In a touching show of solidarity, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne immediately dropped the performance to rally round their bandmate, while Jesy told concerned fans it had been “a long day”.

Audience members were heard shouting “We love you Perrie” after the emotional moment, while the group’s fans were quick to show their support for Edwards on Twitter, sending the the singer comforting messages alongside the hashtag #WeLoveYouPerrie.
The End will feature alongside former Number One single Black Magic on Little Mix’s third studio album Get Weird, which will be released worldwide on November 6.
