‘s Jonathan Groff has revealed that he is working hard in the gym in preparation for his upcoming naked scenes.

The actor – who plays Patrick Murray in the HBO gay drama – said that he has been following True Blood star Joe Manganiello’s exercise regime to get in shape.

Asked if he is on a diet ahead of the new series, he said: “I’ve still got time to pull it together for the naked scenes. Those scenes are still a couple of months away.

“I’ve been exhausting myself at the gym,” the 29-year-old added.

He also told The Backlot that filming for the second season of the San Francisco-based series begins in “about a month”.

On the new episodes, he teased: “I don’t want to say anything that will give anything away, but I guess a lot happens in season two. I was surprised when they were telling us how much develops and goes on within the course of ten episodes.”

It was recently announced that three new recurring characters will feature in the new season, including a female-to-male transgender character. Click here to find out more.

Looking is expected to return to screens in the US and UK in early 2015. In the meantime, check out Jonathan Groff with most of his clothes off here.
