Love Island‘s Noah Purvis has broken his social media silence after reportedly being dropped from the show following the emergence of his past work in gay porn.

The contestant joined the show on Thursday 17 September but was mysteriously missing by 20 September.

The following day, In a statement issued to Entertainment Tonight, CBS and ITV America said: “It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island, which violates his contestant agreement.

“He has been removed from the show.”

The move followed a viewer on Twitter pointing out Noah’s apparent work with Corbin Fisher, saying: “So apparently noah from love island used to be… uh.. an actor.

“#LoveIsland #LoveIslandUSA (look at the spot on his chest) [sic].”

Speaking publicly for the first time since the story broke, Noah yesterday posted an empowering message on Instagram along with a video of himself working out at the gym.

Good for him!

He said: “When they try to tear you down and use… You go harder than ever before because you are you!”

He added: “No once can determine your future but you!”

Well said.

In a seperate post on Instagram, Purvis thanked followers for their support, writing: “OHANA means family… FAMILY means no one gets left behind or forgotten.

“All of you out here have made me feel this and I can’t express how loved I feel for the first time in my life.”

Pointedly, he added hashtags including ‘#bullied’ and #equality’.

The socially-distanced US version of Love Island, from which Noah was removed, is currently being filmed in Las Vegas.
