Luke Evans would ‘jump at the chance’ to be next James Bond

Luke Evans has said he’d “jump at the chance” to be the next James Bond, as Daniel Craig prepares to exit the franchise.
Daniel’s last turn as the suited and booted spy is the upcoming No Time To Die, which is due for release on 30 September 2021.
The Pembrokeshire Murders star Luke is just one of the stars rumoured to be taking Daniel’s place, alongside the likes of Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Holland, Richard Madden, and Daniel Kaluuya.

Speaking to The Mirror, Luke said: “I think I’ve cut my teeth very well in movies I’ve done and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. It’s a phenomenal job, a phenomenal franchise, an incredible role.
“I have to say though, it’s a daunting task for any actor to play the role after Daniel Craig. No one knows what’s happening.

Luke, who is gay and was named Attitude’s Man of the Year last December, added: “It’s a very secretive process and it’s a wonderful role. I would jump at the chance, as would many actors in my position, so we shall see.
“It will be an exciting casting moment for the Bond production and I wish whoever gets it the best of luck.”
Luke’s film credits to date include Beauty and the Beast, Dracula, Untold and The Girl On the Train.
He’ll soon be seen in the Hulu TV series Nine Perfect Strangers alongside Nicole Kidman.
