Madonna’s upcoming ‘Madame X’ tour has suffered an early setback after the first few dates were pushed back or scrapped due to production delays.
The Queen of Pop’s series of intimate theatre shows, which were due to kick off on 12 September at New York’s BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, will now begin on 17 September “as a result of the highly specialized production elements being delayed”, a statement from Live Nation reads.
Shows scheduled for 12 and 14 September have been rescheduled 10 and 12 October respectively, while the 15 September show has been scrapped completely, with ticketholders to be refunded.
In a statement, Madonna said: “Madame X Is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience.
“She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!!”
“Thank you so much for your understanding.”
