Madonna had no idea what the stars of ‘Will & Grace’ were called throughout her guest appearance
Debra Messing and Eric McCormack have recalled how the singer "didn't have a clue" who they were.
Madonna may be the queen of pop music, but it seems the legendary performer she has a little trouble remembering names.
The 59-year-old singer made a cameo on Will & Grace back in 2003, but apparently she couldn’t remember Debra Messing and Eric McCormack’s names despite spending a whole week on set.
Speaking on the Graham Norton Show last Friday (February 9), Debra Messing and Eric McCormack recalled how Madonna just didn’t know who they were, despite repeated introductions.
Messing, who has reprised her role as Grace for a ninth series of the hit sitcom, currently airing on Channel 5 in the UK, revealed that Madona “didn’t have a clue” who she and McCormacj were, but that the pair managed to get their own back by the end of the week.
“She could not remember our names so I told her mine was Rachal,” Messing explained.
“She said, ‘Really? That’s my Kabala name,” I said like, ‘How about that!’ So for the rest of the week she called me Rachal.
“When she finally realised that wasn’t my name she sent me roses with a note written to ‘Dear Debra.'”
McCormack added: “The same thing happened to me and she sent flowers and a note saying, ‘If my husband [Guy Ritchie] would let me, I’d tattoo your name on my arm.'”
Madonna made a cameo in the show’s fifth season and played Karen Walkers’ roommate, Liz.
During their appearance on The Graham Norton show, McCormack also revealed he managed to convince Elton John to cameo on the show because David Furnish was an old childhood friend.
