Madonna throws shade back at BET after criticism of Prince tribute performance

Madonna has thrown shade back at US network BET after their reaction to her Prince tribute at the Billboard Music Awards last month (May).

Following her performances of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ and ‘Purple Rain’ with Stevie Wonder at the Las Vegas awards ceremony, BET tweeted – and later deleted – a photo of Prince, captioned “Yeah, we saw that. Don’t worry. We Got You.”

Unfortunately for BET, however, it appears that Madge had already seen it, and she responded in kind on Instagram last Sunday (29 May).

Wearing the jacket Prince gave me back in the day without permission from BET. . lol! God Bless America. and yes that’s Marilyn!

This was followed by a snap of Madonna wearing a pair of sunglasses, captioned “I will shade you.”
