Madonna under fire for pro-Margaret Thatcher Instagram post
By Josh Haggis
Madonna has been criticised for labelling Margaret Thatcher “unapologetic”.
The Queen of Pop took to Instagram yesterday to praise the controversial former Conservative Party leader for her unapologetic attitude, despite Thatcher infamously introducing Section 28 in 1998, which banned the promotion of homosexuality in schools across the UK.
Check out her post below:
Following a wave of criticism from LGBT fans, Madonna deleted the post, but not before fans had screenshotted the image and shared it on the web.

Thatcher infamously declared that children in British schools were “being taught they have an inalienable right to be gay. All of those children are being cheated of a sound start in life,” in a 1987 speech – watch it below:
Earlier this year, Madonna received a similar wave of backlash when she posted photoshopped images of Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr as part of her Rebel Heart album campaign.
