OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder has confirmed that he has worked with Madonna on material for her new album.

The singer and producer refused to give away details about the tracks, but did promise that her new record will feature “her best stuff in over a decade”.

He told The Mirror: “The tracks I’ve done with her are really hard to explain. [The material is] really strong.”

“I was actually working on something with Madonna when her tracks leaked,” he said. “So I panicked because I thought it was the song I was working on, but luckily it wasn’t. People have way too much time on their hands.”

Tedder has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Leona Lewis, Demi Lovato and One Direction over the last few years, and was responsible for Ella Henderson’s recent debut smash Ghost.

Two songs from Madonna’s upcoming album, Rebel Heart and Wash All Over Me, recently leaked online – read more here.
