Mariah Carey announces ‘Elusive Chanteuse’ world tour

Mariah Carey will embark on a world tour later this year.

The singer will perform the first dates of The Elusive Chanteuse Show in Asia this October, before visiting other territories.

It is the first time Carey has toured since her Adventures of Mimi tour in 2006, and follows the release of her album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse earlier this year.

The tour will begin with two dates in Japan, before visiting China, Malaysia and the Philippines. Check out the full list of dates below.

On returning to the stage, Carey said: “I want to experience the spontaneity and emotion that I put into this album on stage with my fans.

The singer has promised to include classic hits from her back catalogue in the show’s setlist, alongside more recent material.

“I can’t stop writing songs so don’t be surprised if you hear a brand new song that I just wrote the night before the show in your city!” she added.

October 4 – Makuhari Messe Arena, Tokyo
October 6 – Yokohama Arena, Yokohama
October 10 – Workers’ Stadium, Beijing
October 12 – Chengdu Stadium, Chengdu
October 15 – Olympic Center, Chongqing
October 19 – Hongkou Stadium, Shanghai
October 22 – Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur
October 24 – Singapore Indoor Stadium, Singapore
October 28 – Mall of Asia Arena, Manila
