Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has teased the gay character in the upcoming The Eternals movie will be married and have a family.
Earlier this year, Marvel Studios were reportedly actively looking for an LGBTQ actor to play a gay character in the upcoming movie The Eternals, based on the Marvel comic series written by Jack Kirby.
The Eternals – which is one of Marvel’s lesser known series – are a species of humans who were created to be the defenders of Earth, which lead to the inevitability of war against their destructive counterparts, the Deviants.
During San Diego Comic Con, the entire cast of the new MCU superheroes were revealed and includes the likes of Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Kumail Nanjiani
While at D23 Expo, it was announced that Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will also star in the upcoming film as Dane Whitman aka Black Knight

Although the openly gay character has yet to be announced, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige gave some information about the character.
While appearing on Good Morning America, Feige teased: “He’s married, he’s got a family, and that is just part of who he is.”
This character will mark the first time the MCU will feature an openly gay character, while the Universe will also be exploring Valkyrie’s (Tessa Thompson) sexuality in Thor: Love and Thunder.
