The new trailer for The Sinner teases Matt Bomer’s character is hiding a deep, dark secret.
In the latest saga, we see the return of Detective Harry Ambrose (played by Bill Pullman) as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester, in upstate New York.
While investigating the fatal crash, he uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into “the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career.”
Matt Bomer plays Jamie, the upstanding local resident at the center of it all, while Chris Messina plays Nick, a college friend who pays Jamie a most unwelcome visit.
In the new trailer, we see Nick talking to Jamie and his pregnant wife and says: “Should I tell her?” which in turn seems to cause friction and tension between the two friends – could they be former lovers? Or is it something darker?
The new series is set to air on USA Network from Thursday, February 6.
Matt Bomer tweeted the trailer with the caption: “The new trailer for @TheSinnerUSA is here! I’m excited for you to see this one- premieres February 6th on @USA_Network”
