Miley Cyrus says she knew she’d really made it when she ‘p*ssed off’ Cher
"I'm like, 'Oh, Cher gives a f**k about what I'm doing!'"

Miley Cyrus has said it was a “compliment” being criticised by Cher back in 2013.
The ‘Plastic Hearts’ singer famously got the whole world talking with her VMAs performance that year – including the pop icon.
Miley sang her hit ‘We Can’t Stop’ at that year’s ceremony, before duetting with Robin Thicke on his song ‘Blurred Lines.’
Speaking to USA Today afterwards, Cher said: “I’m not old-fashioned. She could have come out naked, and if she’d just rocked the house, I would have said, ‘You go, girl’.

“It just wasn’t done well. She can’t dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn’t great, one cheek was hanging out.
“And, chick, don’t stick out your tongue if it’s coated.”
“She was mad”
Speaking in a radio interview with Billy Idol during SiriusXM’s Live Transmission Christmas, airing on 22 December, Miley said (as reported by E! News): “The amount of people that have talked s**t about my records or what I’m doing, you know, I had Cher come after me on Twitter, but that’s when I thought I had really made it.”
“I’m like, ‘Oh, Cher gives a f**k about what I’m doing.'”
The 28-year-old added: “She was mad that I was sticking my tongue out all the time and all that s**t. And I’m like, ‘Yo, I pi**ed Cher off, I really made it.
“When these legends and these icons and these artists that we look up to… f**king hate us, it’s still a compliment.”
Cher actually walked back her original comments the following month anyway, in typically zany-Cher-Twitter fashion. Check out the below tweets…
