NBA Chicago Bulls helps gay man stage surprise proposal for boyfriend – WATCH

By Fabio Crispim

A Chicago gay couple have become the first to get engaged during an NBA game after the Chicago Bulls helped stage a surprise proposal.

Earlier this week, Jack Conrad asked the Chicago Bulls to help him stage a surprise proposal for his boyfriend, Michael Holtzman, who was a huge fan of the team.

Jack popped the question during halftime as the team mascot, Bennie the Bull, and a group of cheerleaders paraded around him.

Holtzman said “yes,” and the crowd cheered for them.

Prior to the proposal, Jack took to Facebook for help, asking friends if they knew anyone who worked for the Bulls.

He contacted the Chicago Bulls for a special “fan experience package” but when team representatives heard about his plans, they asked if Jack wanted to propose during the NBA game.

He agreed and, well, the rest is history.
