Netflix hit Sense8 renewed for a second season
If you weren’t already hooked on Sense8, now may be the time to play catch up as Netflix has announced it’s bringing back the popular science fiction series for a second helping.
NPR reports the series, about eight individuals with psychic abilities in different locations around the globe, would return with The Matrix brother-sister team Lana and Andrew Wachowski, and Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski at its creative helm.
Cast members confirmed the news in a happy birthday style video which was shared across Twitter over the weekend.

Given each of the characters in the series share the birth date of 8 August 1988, or 8/8/88, the announcement is thought to have been deliberately timed.
The series has been recognised for its progressive views towards the transgender community and features Jamie Clayton as one of the first openly trans actors on screen alongside trans screenwriter Lana Wachowski, who penned the role.
Clayton told a press conference back in July there was much more to her character Nomi Marks than her transition or her “trans-ness”.
“It’s really funny to me that, for a show that has all the diversity that Sense8 has, and how excited everybody is about the diversity and the global scale, that every single one of our main characters has a job in the media, except for Nomi,” she said.
“Nomi’s the trans one. It’s really interesting. Nomi’s so much more than that. But that definitely is something that appealed to me about her.
“You know, it’s part of who she is. It will always be part of who she is. But she’s living her life. She’s moved on from it.”
Episode six of Sense8 season one will also go down in history for its steamy pansexual orgy, which broke the internet, or at least fogged up the computer monitors here at Attitude HQ.
Sense8 also stars Aml Ameen, Bae Doona, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Brian J Smith.
