New US commercial mocks anti-gay marriage bigots

By Attitude Magazine

Recent advancements in the US regarding same-sex marriage are making their way into the world of advertising, with laundry detergent Tide To Go spoofing anti-marriage equality types in their new ad.

In the ad, a gay couple in matching tuxes are seen approaching a church to get married, but are stopped at the church steps by a frumpy, angry-looking woman (paging Kim Davis), who blocks their path. “I won’t let you blemish the sanctity of marriage!” she tells them.

As the couple prepare to tear her a new one, the ad takes quite a funny turn:

The commercial’s director Mark Nickelsburg shared it to Facebook, writing: “First a clerk in Kentucky, and now a church lady in Los Angeles! This same sex couple faces yet another obstacle on the way to marriage equality in this spot I directed for Tide to Go.”
