By Will Stroude
Nick Jonas has teased his character on Ryan Murphy’s upcoming comedy-horror series Scream Queens.
Jonas has landed a recurring role on the Fox show, which revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders, and the Jealous singer told Metro (July 27) that there was “lots of surprises” in store for his character.
“I’m in and out of that show”, the 22 year-old told Metro. “Creator Ryan Murphy’s very protective of his material so I can’t say too much.
“My character is a college fraternity guy but no what you’d think – there are lots of surprises in store. The reaction to the pilot has been great and it will cultivate an audience pretty quickly.”
The 22 year-old – who recently got chained up on stage during a performance at London’s G-A-Y – will also reprise his role as a closeted gay fighter in US martial arts drama Kingdom later this year, and recently said he had no qualms about the gay sex scenes that are in store for his character Nate Kulina – click here to find out more.
As well as Jonas, Scream Queens will star the original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis, Glee’s Lea Michele, American Horror Story’s Emma Roberts and US pop starlet Ariana Grande– find out more here.
Emma Roberts let it slip last month that the eagerly-anticipated series will premiere on September 22 in the US – so get it in the diary people.
Meanwhile, we recently had an in-depth chat with Nick himself ahead of the UK release of his self-titled debut album earlier this month, in which he opened up about his gay fan base and we tried our best to keep it together – click here to read our interview in full.
