Nicole Scherzinger set for new Sky 1 music comedy show
American pop princess Nicole Scherzinger is set to join fellow musos Tinie Tempah and Ricky Wilson for Bring the Noise, a new music and comedy show coming to Sky 1 this autumn.
The show will see Wilson play host, with Scherzinger and Tempah as team captains, alongside comedian Katherine Ryan as a regular panellist throughout the series.
Billed as a ‘comedy-entertainment series’, Bring The Noise will feature live musical performances from chart-toppers, celebrity guests and comedians.
While Ricky presides over proceedings as host, Nicole and Tinie head up two teams of three. Their guests each week will take part in rounds involving music trivia questions, games with musical set pieces, and VTs which will include spoof video parodies and mash-ups. The last round of each show will see the teams compete in a musical performance battle.
Ricky Wilson said: “Nicole, Tinie and Katherine are all completely brilliant and ridiculous in equal measure. I’m no stranger to music based TV shows with a competitive element, but this is taking music TV to another level. Swing by the off licence, phone for a takeaway, and settle in with Bring the Noise,” said Wilson.
“I can’t wait to unleash my forensic interest in music and pop culture on Bring The Noise,” said Katherine Ryan.
“It’s my favourite Public Enemy track. And, when I was seventeen, I sewed my own prom dress, modelled after an outfit Nicole wore on Eden’s Crush. I’ve been following her career from the beginning and if you’d told me then that I’d be in a room with her now, I’d have thought she was visiting me in hospital. Also, Tinie Tempah is my favourite rapper and Ricky Wilson is my favourite Kaiser Chief.”
