Oscar Isaac wants to keep Poe Dameron’s sexuality “as fluid as possible”.
The actor portrays the Resistance fighter in the latest Star Wars trilogy and since his debut appearance in 2015’s The Force Awakens, many have speculated that Poe is also part of the LGBT community – everyone remember the lip biting scene?
But being the vast universe of Star Wars, the actor revealed his character is “open to any kind of adventure”.
He told the Huffington Post: “I’m all about keeping it as fluid as possible.
“There are a lot of interesting people in the galaxy, it’d be a shame to cut off 50 per cent.
“I think Poe’s open to any kind of adventure.”
Many shipped the Resistance fighter with Finn – the Stormtrooper-turned-Resistance fighter played by John Boyega.
However, people’s hopes may have perished after Kelly Marie Tran’s character Rose plants a kiss on his lips at the end of The Last Jedi.
We will only have to wait until 2019 to see whether Poe’s sexuality is featured in the upcoming third instalment.
