‘Our Gay Wedding: The Musical’ receives BAFTA nomination

Channel 4’s Our Gay Wedding: The Musical has been nominated for a BAFTA.
The one-off documentary, which aired shortly after the first same-sex marriages in the took place, is in the running for the Specialist Factual Award, where it faces competition from David Attenborough’s Conquest of the Skies, Grayson Perry: Who Are You? and The Great War: The People’s Story.
As well as featuring the wedding of Benjamin Till and Nathan Taylor, the musical included stories that documented the long battle for same-sex marriage in England and Wales.
Meanwhile, other nominations include Netflix’s popular prison drama Orange is the New Black which is up for the International Award, and Graham Norton, who is in the running for Best Entertainment Performance and Best Comedy Show.
