Paddy McGuinness campaigns for gay version of ‘Take Me Out’

By Josh Haggis

Paddy McGuinness has revealed that he wants a gay version of Take Me Out.

The popular ITV1 show, which sees a steady stream of straight men try and impress a group of 30 women in order to win a date and a free holiday, first hit screens back in 2010.

While appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show this week, McGuinness said that he has tried to push ITV bosses to film a gay edition of the show.

“I have asked about a gay version. We have done an OAP special and a celebrity special,” he told Ross. “I have also asked about a reality TV special. It is in the mix. It is up to the powers that be.”

Make it work, ITV!
