Paul Coker set to exit Eastenders with a bang
Paul and Ben’s secret relationship is set to go public at the Queen Vic on Eastenders next week, but unfortunately it seems their happiness is to be short lived.
Show bosses have announced that Jonny Labey, who plays Paul, is leaving the show after just a year in the role. However, an insider has teased that his exit is going to be “explosive”, DigitalSpy reports.
Sadly producers aren’t giving much else away – but Ben’s decision to kiss Paul in front of their friends and family next week looks set to cause more problems than it solves, after his dad Phil Mitchell (Steve Mcfadden) storms out in response.
“We can confirm Johnny will be leaving the show later this year. We wish him all the best for the future,” said an Eastenders spokesperson.
John has also been cast as the lead in play Verge of Strife, which will be shown at the Edinburgh Festival this year.

Jonny’s stint on the BBC One soap may have been short and sweet, but at least we’ll always have that iconic funeral parlour sex scene to look back on, right?
