Pink’s ‘What About Us’ video features a powerful same-sex dance routine

By Will Stroude

Pink’s has unveiled the video for her stirring new single ‘What About Us’, and it features a powerful same-sex dance routine at its centre.

The politically-charged visual, which sees a group of social outcasts dancing on the streets of the US under the intimidating eye of the authorities, sees two male dancers engaged in a passionate routine.

It’s an emotive watch, and one that makes a clear statement about life for minorities in Trump’s America.

Pink, who’s set to receive the MTV Video Music Awards’ Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award later this month, is already in with a shot of hitting Number One on the Official UK Singles Chart this week.

‘What About Us’ is currently battling it out with Dua Lipa’s anti-heartbreak anthem ‘New Rules’ for the top spot, and the video’s mid-week release is set to ensure a photo finish on Friday.
