Plebs star Ryan Sampson has come out publicly by sharing an adorable picture of himself with his boyfriend.
The British actor, who plays Roman slave Grumio in the historical ITV2 sitcom, posted the cute snap on Twitter on Wednesday (20 February) after being mistaken for straight.
Sampson, who also appeared as British actor Dudley Moore on season two The Crown, explained he decided to take action after an Instagram follower tried to engage in “homophobic banter” with him.
Sharing a picture of himself with his hand round his partner, he wrote: “Hi y’all. So. I was on Instagram and I looked at my direct messages and it turned out someone was trying to rope me in to some (pretty creaky) homophobic banter. Huh!
