Pride in London star performers announced

The organisers of Pride in London have announced some of the acts who’ll be performing across the event’s stages next weekend.
Lucy Spraggan, Sam Fox and Sinitta have all been confirmed as part of the lineup, with a “very special” international headline act due to be announced at 6pm tomorrow (June 20).
X Factor‘s Lucy Spraggan, whose debut album Join the Club reached number seven on the UK’s Official Albums Chart last year, will headline the Dean Street stage from 5pm, following performances from members of Pride’s Got Talent.
Meanwhile, ’80s pop legends Sam Fox and Sinitta will be bringing “fabulous performances” to the Trafalgar Square stage, where the celebrity guest hosts will include Attitude‘s Dr. Christian Jessen and TOWIE‘s Harry Derbridge.
During her performance, attitude.co.uk agony aunt and So Macho singer Sinitta will debut her new single – a cover of her mother Miquel Brown’s gay anthem So Many Men, So Little Time.
“I’m looking forward to performing at Pride in London because it’s like going back to my roots!” Sinitta said of her performance. “I am not gay, but the British gay community have pretty much shaped a lot of my early days out on the club and party scene with my closest friends and my many gay husbands and wives who mean so much to me.”
She added: “London is the best city in the world and it’s great to be recording, dancing, singing and having fun as an artist again. There have been huge land marks this year in the gay community that we should celebrate!”
The week-long Pride in London festival kicks off this Sunday (June 22) with a ‘Freedom to…’ theme. The parade will depart from Baker Street at 1pm on Saturday June 28 – the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
Last year’s event saw over 15,000 people join the parade march, with 200,000 more packing the streets of Soho all day and 65,000 people enjoying the entertainment in Trafalgar Square.
