RuPaul’s Drag Race is to get a global singing competition spin-off, it has been reported.

The upcoming programme Queen of the Universe will once again be produced by World of Wonder, according to Deadline.

Part of Paramount+’s slate of reality and non-scripted series, it’ll see drag queens from around the world use their singing talents to compete to be ‘Queen of the Universe’ – a crucial departure from the standard Drag Race template, which only incorporates singing intermittently.

The outlet also reports that another season of All Stars is in the works. Happy Christmas!

The news follows the franchise’s parallel 13th RPDR season and second season of RPDR UK. Ru was recently in New Zealand for Drag Race Down Under, and Drag Race Spain was announced last year.

“I always wanted to see someone like me in the media”

Drag Race‘s world takeover took another step this week with the unveiling of Attitude’s latest cover star: the amazing Gottmik!

The SE13 queen told us in an exclusive interview: “I have had so many trans boys and girls reach out and tell me how seeing me on the show has helped them come out or feel accepted and those are the messages that really make me take a step back and thank the universe for everything I have.

“I always wanted to see someone like me in the media, and the fact that I am able to show my artistry on my favourite TV show and be that for people is surreal.”

Attitude has approached World of Wonder for comment about Queen of the Universe.
