Queer Eye’s Fab Five present LGBT schools charity with $10,000 donation
The hit Netflix show isn't limiting its life-changing work to the screen.

Queer Eye’s Fab Five have continued to show why their hit show is helping to change the world after throwing their support behind a leading LGBT schools charity.
Jonathan van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Karamo Brown and Bobby Berk took a break from filming for the show’s third season in Missouri to attend a GLSEN event in Hollywood on Monday (August 13), where they appeared in a live panel Q&A and presented the charity with a generous donation of $10,000.
The money will go towards help provide a lifeline for young LGBT people as GLSEN works towards its goal of creating a safe and inclusive environment for LGBT students in the US.
“On behalf of my brothers who I love so much – and we love you guys so much – we just broke you guys off a little summin’ summin’,” Jonathan told the audience following the boys’ appearance on stage.

Queer Eye, which recently picked up four Emmy nominations, is expected to return to Netflix for season three in 2019.
The reboot of the nid-noughties make-over show has been praised for its candid discussion of issuing relating to race, sexuality and self-acceptance – but the Fab Five insist Queer Eye has also brought profound personal change, too.
Speaking in the July issue of Attitude, the group’s resident food expert Antoni revealed how his role on the show has helped him become more comfortable in his own sexuality.
“Being in a comfort bubble with the [Queer Eye] guys, getting praised for being ourselves, has changed me,” the 34-year-old explained.
“As a result of the show, I feel I’m openly gay and I wasn’t before. I’ve had the safety to start wearing brighter things. I wore a twin pyjama set last night, I paint my toenails now.
“I’ve always had a feminine side but it’s been on the inside. To be able to express it on the outside without any shame is really nice.”
