Ranking the ‘Drag Race UK’ queens on first impressions
Find out how wrong we are when the show hits BBC Three this October.
By Will Stroude
Well, the cats (or should that be queens) are finally out of the bag: The 10 British drag performers who’ll be taking part in the first ever series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK have been announced – and it looks like we’re in for a raucous ride when the show hits BBC Three this October.
Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, Crystal, Cheryl Hole, Divina De Campo, Gothy Kendoll, Sum Ting Wong, Scaredy Kat, The Vivienne, and Vinegar Strokes might not be sashaying into the workroom for a few weeks yet, but naturally we couldn’t help but speculate as to the ladies’ chances after their participation was confirmed on Wednesday morning (21 August).
Before RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr can pass their own judgemebt, we’ve decided to rank the queens based on first impressions alone in a HIGHLY scientific attempt to predict who might be taking home the first ever British crown.
We’ve marked the queens out of 10 in four categories – drag name, promo lewk, promo video performance and personality, and ‘C.U.N.T. (charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent) Factor – before adding up the totals to create a final score out of 40.
Of course, we’ll be burying this article forver when it become clear just how wrong we are come October…
