Renee Zellweger in first photo from new Bridget Jones movie

She’s back: Renee Zellweger is Bridget Jones once more in the first picture from the iconic character’s third movie.

Except this time, in place of a diary, there’s… an iPad. 2015, eh?

In Bridget Jones’s Baby, Zellweger will step back into the role for the first time since 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. The legendary first movie was released way back in 2001.

Colin Firth, whose character Mark Darcy was (spoiler!) killed off at the very beginning of 2013 novel Mad About The Boy, is also on board to return to the cast, alongside Patrick Dempsey in his first role since being bumped off Grey’s Anatomy.

Hugh Grant, however, is not expected to return as Daniel Cleaver.

Renee is gradually beginning to resume her place in the public eye after a few years away: she’s got two other films pending release; The Whole Truth and Same Kind Of Different As Me. Her last released film was My Own Love Song in 2010.
