We’re used to Ricky Martin getting us hot under the collar, but the Puerto Rican pop icon may just have outdone himself in the steamy video for his brand new single.
Martin, 46, unveiled Spanish-language track ‘Fiebre’ featuring Puerto Rican reggaeton singers Wisin & Yandel last week, and the accompanying visual is a full-on sweat-fest that’s refreshingly inclusive when it comes to, erm, just who’s getting sweaty with who.
The Latin-flavoured video features plenty of guy-on-guy, girl-on-girl and guy-on-girl action, and proves that the ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ singer, who came out publicly in 2010, is ready to celebrate his sexuality through his music.
Speaking to Metro’s Guilty Pleasures about the video at the Oscars on Sunday (March 4) Martin joked: “I’ve made it to raunchy!”
Ricky, who’s currently starring as designer Gianni Versace’s former boyfriend Antonio Amici in Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story: Versace went on: “I just allowed it to happen. I’m so open to everything right now.”
‘Fiebre’ is the fist single to be lifted from Ricky’s upcoming – and as-yet unnamed – 11th studio album. Give it a whirl below:
