Ricky Martin makes first public appearance with new boyfriend

Ricky Martin has made his first public appearance with his new boyfriend, Syrian-born artist Jwan Yosef – and if you listen closely, you can hear the sound of millions of hearts silently breaking.
The pair stepped out together at a Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) event in Sao Paulo over the weekend, holding hands on the red carpet and sharing photos on social media later in the evening – with Martin captioning one photo of the couple simply with the word: ‘Yup’.
Martin came out as gay in 2010 and is father to two twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, who had had via a surrogate in 2008.
The 44-year-old Livin’ La Vida Loca singer has been rumoured to be dating 32-year-old Yosef for the last few weeks, after the pair started making regular appearances on each other’s Instagram feed.
Yosef, who grew up in Sweden and is now based in London, also shared a picture of the pair at the event, writing “We cleaned up GOOD.”
