Ricky Martin only recorded ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ because of Madonna
The two were in the studio recording the song 'Be Careful'

Ricky Martin revealed ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ only happened because of Madonna.
The Hispanic singer, and former Attitude cover star, was deep in production of his first English-language album when the Grammys happened and he was being forced to rush his album out by his label, The Hollywood Reporter say.
But luckily for him, he was recording a collaboration with the Queen of Pop on the track ‘Be Careful’ and after showing her what he had, Madonna was ready to go into the studio with him.
He said: “This album was almost going to be released without ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ but three days before I walked into the studio with Madonna, we were done with ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’, so I showed her what I was presenting – and she was like, ‘Yep! I’m ready to go into the studio with you!’
“It was a very beautiful moment. I will always go back to it.”
Thankfully, the album sold more than eight million copies and was the most successful debut album by a Hispanic artist in Billboard history.
