Ricky Wilson on gay fans: ‘They ask me if I fancy a bum’
By Sam Rigby
Ricky Wilson has admitted that his gay fans are very upfront with him on Twitter.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman said that there is a big difference between the messages he receives from men and women on the social networking site.
Speaking to Attitude about whether he receives more attention from gay fans, he said: “I don’t think it’s more attention. It’s not like I’m in a bar getting lots of guys approach me or anything like that.
“It’s basically when you read comments on Twitter, girls will say ‘you’re a bit of alright’ or ‘you’re lush’, whereas men will say ‘fancy a bum?’ [laughs].
“I admire it really – it’s to the point, it leaves no-one in a grey area,” he added.
Earlier this year, Wilson said that he wanted to feature in this year’s Attitude HOT 100 after reading last year’s edition, adding that he would “do whatever it takes” to feature. The singer finished in an impressive 14th place.
