Rihanna breaks down in tears onstage in Dublin
We certainly didn’t see this coming.
It was a typically fashionably-late Rihanna who took on the Dublin’s Aviva Stadium as part of her Anti World Tour yesterday (June 21), but it was just two songs into her set, as she began to perform massive Number One hit ‘Love The Way You Lie’, that the 28-year-old star waved at the audience as she tried in vain to stop the tears from flowing.
It was an unexpected moment from the normally tough-as-nails star that quickly got her international fan-base talking.

Our sis is crying on stage. Those better be happy tears because we all know it's "protect Rihanna at all costs" pic.twitter.com/8qTfnZJ60t

Rih-Rih referenced the moment as she took to Instagram after the show, calling it an “emotional show” and thanking her fans for ‘snatching her out of it’.
But, Navys, no concern is to be sparked. Teary-eyed Riri then continued singing and delivered – as per usual – a spectacular show; to then later thank her audience and annihilate all assumptions:
‘’I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland in Dublin. (…) Thank you so much.’’
Dubliners be prepared. Rihanna will be taking over the Wembley stadium and time has come for the Brits to show what they’ve got.
