Bates Motel
is a horror series and acts as a prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960’s classic Psycho. The show focuses on a teenage Norman Bates living with his mother, Norma.
According to the Metro, executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin confirmed the news during Bates Motel’s Comic-Con panel.
They said, “We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way.”
“We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate.”
Rihanna’s acting credits so far include voicing Tip on Home, a role in Battleships and a brief cameo in This Is The End.
Marion Crane was killed in that famous shower scene in Alfred’s Psycho and we can’t wait to see how Rihanna’s going to handle the role.
The final season of Bates Motel is expected to premier later this year.
