Just in case there wasn’t enough RuPaul’s Drag Race in your life already, a “special edition” of All Stars has been confirmed for this summer.
Its arrival will come just one week after the conclusion of the upcoming 12th season of Drag Race, which kicks off next Friday 28 February on VH1 in the US, and the following day on Netflix in the UK.
All Stars will then premiere on 5 June on US network Showtime – the sister channel of VH1, which had previously aired both Drag Race and All Stars.
It’s currently unknown whether this ‘special edition’ of All Stars will serve as ‘All Stars 5’, which was filmed last year, or as the previously-announced ‘celebrity’ edition of Drag Race, which will see stars being made over by former contestants.
SHAMELESS plug, but All Stars has a new HOMELAND! So, everybody say THE L WORD (love!) because a special edition of ALL STARS is coming to @Showtime June 5! 🌈🌟 pic.twitter.com/RKrCvFEqRt

Should it follow the traditional format of the four previous All Stars seasons, however, you can expect former contestants to return to the workroom for a second shot at the crown, $100,000, and a place alongside Chad Michaels, Alaska, Trixie Mattel, Monet X Change and Trinity the Tuck in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is a culture-defining show that fits perfectly within the contemporary programming Showtime offers in both scripted and unscripted,” Jana Winograde, co-president of entertainment at Showtime Networks Inc, said in a statement.
“We are excited to take advantage of our relationship with our new sister company VH1 to present a special edition of this sensational series and bring in this passionate and robust fanbase.
“It’s the latest example of how we can leverage our combined portfolio to provide new experiences for our audience.”
Looks like we’ve for a lot to look forward to…
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars will premiere Friday, June 5 at 8/7c on Showtime.
