Rylan Clark-Neal talks starting a family with husband Dan
Reality TV star Rylan Clark-Neal has hinted that starting a family might be on the cards – but only when the time is right.
The former X Factor finalist made history as he and husband Dan became the first same-sex couple to host ITV’s This Morning last Friday (July 8), and speaking to New!, the 27-year-old revealed that children could soon be on the horizon for the couple.
“I’ve always said I wouldn’t have kids unless I was in a financial situation where I knew I wouldn’t have to worry, and I’m fortunate to be in that now,” he said.
Rylan is already step-father to husband Dan’s 16 year-old son Cameron, and has spoken of their close relationship before. In December 2015, he revealed that he was “desperate” to have kids in an interview with OK! Magazine, shortly after marrying former policeman Dan in November.
“I’m sure in the near distant future it’ll happen,” Rylan continued. “I’m sure [Cameron] would be fine with it. I think he’d love it.”
Of his new step-son, he aded: “I look at him like he’s my own. He can talk to me – I’m Dad, but he can talk to me about sex! I’ll say, ‘As long as you’re being safe!’ If that was Dan, he’d be like, ‘Stop it, Dad!'”
