S Club 7 star on reunion: ‘We’re waiting for the right time’

S Club 7’s Jon Lee has spoken about the pop group’s rumoured reunion.

Talk of a comeback started last week when Lee met the rest of the Reach posse for drinks – and his former bandmates Bradley McIntosh and Hannah Spearritt both tweeted throwback pictures of the band. Check out Spearritt’s retro picture here.

Discussing a possible reunion, Lee said in the Metro today (July 22): “We’re waiting for the right time and what’s right for us.”

“It was nice to see everyone last week and we slipped back into how things used to be, and the old jokes started very quickly,” he continued.

Lee then added, somewhat vaguely: “Rachel [Stevens] has just had another baby and we all need to be in the same space as we have other commitments. I’m proud of what we achieved.”

Lee went into musical theatre after S Club 7 split in 2004, starring in a number of West End shows including Les Misérables and Jersey Boys. He recently shared a holiday snap of his new, buff physique – check it out here.
