Sacha Baron Cohen: ‘All men have homosexual leanings’

By Troy Nankervis

British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen thinks all men are a little bit gay, estimating he himself is about “23 per cent gay”.

And while the star of Borat is happily married with three children to Hollywood starlet Isla Fisher, he also rejected the idea of putting labels on sexuality, adding all “men have homosexual leanings”, reports The Sun.

“Straight or gay are silly terms. There’s a scale,” he said.

“Everyone is somewhere in the scale. I’m 23 per cent gay. I’ve worked it out, did the calculations.”

“There are times I go to 17 – sometimes I’m 31, depends on the situation. When I was doing Borat and I had the testicles at my chin I was 31. ”

The Bruno actor added studies have shown men with homophobic attitudes were secretly attracted to men.

“It’s guys struggling with their sexuality who go and beat up gay guys.”

The comments were made during a WTF podcast ahead of the release of Cohen’s new comedy Grimsby, which made headlines last year for a controversial scene where the Queen was infected with HIV.

“The scene with the Queen is quite bleak,” said a source at the time.

“It’s more gruesome than anything he has done before. No decision has been made on whether it will make the final cut, but if it does it will inevitably cause a lot of outrage.”

Last year, it was also reported Cohen was to write, direct and star in a Freddie Mercury biopic, based on the life of the former Queen singer.
