Sam Sparro has announced he will be releasing his first album since 2012’s Return to Paradise.
Entitled ‘Boombox Eternal’, the ‘Black and Gold’ singer will be releasing the new album on February 21 and said it is a ‘love letter’ to his younger self and the music that inspired him to become an artist.
The singer has already released the single ‘Outside the Blue’ from the album, and on Friday premiered the second single ‘Everything’.
In a statement, the singer – who married his partner Zion Lennox last year – said: “The songs are mostly about love but also about power and breaking through boundaries.
“The project is a tribute to the era of maxi singles, cassingles and 12” records.
“I wanted that to be reflected in the releases… As a record collector I always love finding vinyl that has all those extra versions on the B-side and wanted to give that to my listeners too.”
Boombox Eternal will feature collaborations with an eclectic roster of stars including We Are King, Maluca, Rahsaan Patterson, Nikka Costa, Ryland Blackinton, and Vaughn Oliver.
