Sarah Jessica Parker has said she could never do Sex and the City 3 without Kim Cattrall.
The actresses starred in the popular 1990s American TV show which spawned two movie sequels but last year, Cattrall – who starred as the sex-crazed Samantha – ruled out ever returning to the franchise and said she had never been friends with her co-stars.
Later, Parker – who played the main character Carrie Bradshaw – told Extra that the film isn’t halted, it is official not going ahead.
She said: “It’s not halted, it’s over. We had this beautiful, funny, heart-breaking, joyful, very relatable script and story.
“It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”
Now, Parker has weighed into the discussion again and has ruled out returning for a third story if Cattrall doesn’t return.
When a fan told her to “replace or write her out… if she is not interested” the Emmy Award winner replied: “Not sure if I can imagine doing another movie without her.”
It looks like the third movie isn’t going ahead for definite now.
