‘Sense8’ returns in new trailer for Christmas Special – WATCH
Sense8
isn’t returning until May for its second season, but since it’s Christmas, Netflix and the Wachowski’s decided to gift everyone with a Christmas Special.
The two-hour episode will be available from December 23 and the trailer just dropped.
Not much has changed since we last saw the Sensates, they’re still interconnected and facing threats from Whispers as well as their own personal lives.
The show’s creators wanted to give hardcore fans a treat and Lana Wachowski, a co-creator of Sense8, said, “When I was a kid, I loved holiday specials in the shows I used to watch.”
“Holidays can make you feel so connected, in the way holidays can make you feel so isolated and alone. I wanted to tell a story in the first episode that was kind of about time in the present and how the new lives these characters were experiencing made them feel empowered, like they could do anything as long as they’re together.”
Sense8 returns to Netflix on May 5.
