The actress continued: “I’m so sorry to have to break that to you guys but umm, I’m just going to be doing some other little things, some other opportunities have come up. So, I’ve been doing it for three years and I’ve, like, genuinely loved it.”
Teasing future projects, Allison added: “I love the show. [But you] have to say goodbye some time which is kind of sad. But other things are coming.”
Ola was introduced midway through season one of Sex Education as a love interest for Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield). The pair broke up in season two, opening the door for Ola’s fan-favourite romance with eccentric classmate Lily Iglehart (Tanya Reynolds).
Sex Education was renewed for a fourth season in September 2021 just days after season three premiered on Netflix. Production on season 4 is expected to begin imminently but an exact release date remains unconfirmed.
Sex Education is avaiable to stream on Netflix now.
