Ricky Rebel said he created ‘The New Alpha’ to make certain people “toughen up” and “stop playing the victim”.
The singer/songwriter – who identifies as bisexual and wears makeup and fashion to express his creativity– has released his newest single ‘The New Alpha’ and slammed the “tribalistic demanding” society of today.
In a statement given exclusively to Attitude, Ricky said: “The New Alpha is a balance of masculinity and femininity, conservatism and liberalism, strength and vulnerability.
“Today’s cultural climate is tribalistic demanding that we choose one side over the other.
“Alpha is his own tribe. He thinks for himself. Alpha is the empowered man that isn’t afraid to wear makeup or put a dress on.
“Colour and clothes have no gender. They’re just pieces of fabric. The New Alpha is not overly aggressive and he’s not a doormat. He’s vulnerable and strong at the same time.
“I ultimately created ‘The New Alpha’ because I wanted certain people to toughen up and stop playing the victim.
“At the end of the day we are responsible for our own well-being. Blaming others for our problems does nothing to fix them.
“At some point we have to man/woman up and crack the Alpha whip on ourselves and others to get our lives in order.”
